Groundswell; the grassroots battle for the NHS and democracy.

This film by director John Furse is being shown in Kirklees at three venues at the beginning of April.

The director was in the crowd at Trafalgar Square NHS rally in September 2014 and the dedication of those who had organised it inspired him to find out more.

The rally was the culmination of a 3 week march from Jarrow to London following in the footsteps of the Ellen Terry march during the Great Depression between the wars.

The director will be present at all the screenings to answer questions about the film.
